Two very important Island organizations have combined forces to better serve the residents of Pine Island.

From Our Hearts has joined the Beacon of HOPE with the aim of allowing both groups to improve the quality and scope of services they provide for Breast Cancer Care.

As part of the Beacon of HOPE, From Our Hearts will now be able to help with medical needs not covered through Partners for Breast Cancer Care or Lee Health such as medications and palliative care.

Beacon board member Lucy Garcia said, "I'm excited about my new role as liaison between From Our Hearts and our board. Having worked with both organizations for many years, I can say that this merger will greatly enhance services to Pine Island residents."
