Who should be in jail…?

November 8, 2017

To the editor:

Remember when we had a common sense justice system in this country? Well, this guy admits killing his wife and five children and asks to be killed. Duh! I think a 10-year-old could figure that one out yet, it'll take months, maybe years for the judge to figure it out. The more time the judges and lawyers spend on the case the more money they make. The question here is, who should be in jail, the killer or the judges and lawyers? This goes on across the country every day. I guess the mafia has control of our legal system, too. And to all you do-gooders out there who think the death penalty isn't a deterrent - if someone is dead they can't kill again. That, believe it or not, is a deterrent. And, the same penalty should apply to drug dealers. Eight years doesn't seem like a speedy trial to me.
