Laurence "Lonnie" Hendrix passed away on June 29th 2017 in Cape Coral Fla. He was born on August 15th 1953 in Liberty New York to parents, Gwendolyn and Royal Felix Hendrix of Roscoe New York.

Lonnie is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Isabelle Hendrix, two sons; Stephen John and Jason Michael Hendrix and his wife Michelle, his grandchildren Zack, Nick, Felix, Axel and one great grandchild Hudson who adoringly knew him as their Pop Pop.

A graduate of Roscoe Central, Class of 1971, Lonnie often and fondly reminisced of his childhood in Trout Town. Hendrix spent 25 years working in the NY State Corrections Facility and 15 years with USPS. Lonnie's true passion was in music and entertainment. His range was broad but not as big as his fan base that stretches from New York to Pine Island and beyond. Lonnie was a founding member of the B.L.T. then Mystic Band, The Spirit Band, and Burnt Out. He was also a dynamic solo artist. Lonnie Hendrix will be remembered as the friendliest guy in the room that could fix anything and cheers to everything.
